My New Jo-Ann Website - Jo-Ann Carson

My New Jo-Ann Website

When Go Daddy offered me a website at half the price of renewing my old one, I had no choice. The downside was that I had to create it from scratch with their new shiney website making program.  I’ve spent the last week creating and tweaking a new site.
I could only capture part of the page in my screenshot. To see the full Jo-Ann:

It has the same content, but its leaner and more efficient. There was a bit of a learning curve, but I got there.
Part of the digital revolution seems to be that I’m constantly redoing what I’ve already done with shiny new tech options. It feels a bit like two steps forward and one step back. lol.
But it works, and sometimes that’s all that matters.

What about you?

Do you get frustrated with having to update or change your SM stuff all the time?

  1. Love your new website, Jo-Ann! Unless GoDaddy has rolled out another website creation interface, I did what you described last year. And, yes, it was quite the time-consuming process but worth it! Their old interface/builder had become a nightmare to use. But when they provided no automatic (or even semi-automatic) way to move websites over to their new builder, like you I to had to start from scratch combined with the slow process of manually copy/pasting each section of website text I wished to keep. I now groan every time I see something new in the tech and social media world. It’s a daunting task keeping up with the changing world.

    1. Thanks Jacqui.
Misery loves company. I know you feel my pain. This is the third Go Daddy website-making program I’ve used. They keep getting better and cheaper, but I may go for a free one when this contract is up. I’m not sure that I’m getting value for my dollar. Especially since I still have hours to spend working on the SEO for the site. I know. I’ll get there, but I’d rather write a story.
      Thanks for sharing my woes.
all the best in writing and everything else,
      Jo-Ann
