The Pirate Came First in Paranormal …

Confessions of a Pirate Ghost placed first in the Paranormal category of the Las Vegas RWA, I Heart Indie Contest!!!

This is the contest that judges covers and black blurbs.

My cover is the brilliant work of Steven Novak.

I’m particularly happy about this win, because this part of the contest was judged by agents and getting their approval makes me feel like I’m on the right track. I’m so grateful for the Las Vegas RWA chapter for creating this contest, which supports indie writers.

And it’s not over!

The next level of the contest is the “best of the best.” Book clubs will review all the category winners and choose one for this honor. It will be announced at the Vegas Valley Book Festival. on October 21st.

I think I smell the desert heat.

Curious About the Book?

Everyone has secrets

Escaping the clutches of a mobster, art forger Harley Davis dives off a yacht in the middle of the night and swims ashore to Sunset Cove, a small town in the Pacific Northwest, where the only light she sees comes from inside a haunted teahouse. Soaking wet and shaking, she pauses at the door. No one in their right mind would enter such a creepy place, but she has no choice. She needs to hide.

Pirate ghost, Three-Sheets, enjoys his extended life on earth, gambling and flirting with the ladies, but when he meets Harley, he discovers he wants more out of death than a good gambling hand.

As the charming Three Sheets woos Harley, her former boss puts a contract on her head. What do you get when you mix a saucy thief, a pirate ghost and an angry godfather? Another fun, Gambling Ghost story.
