Today, my writing date is at Departure Bay at dawn, but more about that later. First…
My brother sent me link yesterday: Inspiring Writing Advice From the Greatest Women Authors What a gift! Each quote touches my weary writing heart.
Today I’ll share Margaret Atwood‘s quote:
“If I waited for perfection, I would never write a word.”
I can’t remember reading a word of Atwood’s that wasn’t perfect. A poet and a writer, her prose is dense, exquisitely well-crafted and moving. And yet, she said this. Love it.
Still, the dawn called to me. I parked across the road at the Seven Eleven and soaked it in from my car. Then I walked over and looked out at the bay as best I could from the road.
Do you have a favorite place to watch the sun rise? A favorite memory of dawn? Love to hear from you.
My latest book, Ain’t Misbehaving’ is available on Amazon for pre-order.
A naked alderman, a haunted trattoria and a love that can not be denied.
